After five years in operation, the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation’s Operational policy 13 for recreation within public drinking water source areas on Crown Land is being reviewed and updated.

Since the policy’s implementation in 2012, the department has listened to feedback from the community, interest groups and other agencies, and proposed some changes to the policy.

A draft updated policy with accompanying discussion paper has been released for public comment over the next eight weeks, ending at 5pm 3 August 2018.

How to comment

We welcome your help with this policy review and are seeking your input. To help you provide input, we have prepared a draft updated policy and supporting discussion paper.

When you write your comments, please list them against the discussion paper or draft updated policy’s page number so we can see what section you are referring to. It would also be useful if you could provide copies or references of any information to support your comments. If you would like your submission or identity to be kept confidential, please tell us by writing ‘confidential’ on the top of each page.
